Enclosed WaterFlywheel Unlike conventional air resistance rowing machines, the WaterRower uses a Patented WaterFlywheel consisting of a sealed/enclosed polycarbonate tank containing water. This eliminates the build up of dust, hair and other unsavoury fallout common to the gym environment. There is therefore never any need to disassemble the machine to vacuum/clean it out.Indeed, the only maintenance for the WaterRower is to add a water purification tablet periodically. The frequency of adding a tablet is a function of the amount of direct sunlight in the area where the WaterRower is used and can vary from every six months to never at all. The horizontal positioning of the water tank replicates the dynamics of rowing in a boat and ensures an even distribution of load throughout the entire length of the stroke.
